Tim Holtz UK Event – Part Two

The best bits about doing a class with Tim is the generous free goodies that you come away with. Especially the unique Messenger Bag.

World’s Best Mum

Image

This is my Project for craft club tomorrow, thought I ought to do something for all the mum’s out there although David & I have unfortunately run out of parents.

If you are coming to do this tomorrow you will need a small picture approx 2″ x 2 3/4″ and if you have any glossy accents for the butterflies this is best done at home and left overnight to dry.

I have changed the twill ribbon – well truthfully I dyed it with tea last night as the white did not look right. I have now dyed loads of lace and twill for tomorrow, but, if anybody wants to change the colour scheme I will also have white lace and twill.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow

Keep crafting!

Mini book for All about ME box

mini book to go inside All about me box

Well I finally sorted out the minibook to go inside my box for tomorrow. Just 1 sheet of cardstock, score three vertical lines equally across the page approx every three inches then score across the middle horizontally cut along this line from left to right until you reach the 3rd vertical score line. Fold along the remaining horizontal score line, and fold the rest of the page along the remaining score lines and hey presto you have a small book 6″ x 3″. I then stuck the centre page together to form a pocket, so that I can put tickets, tags etc in the middle. Decorate as you feel inspired.

You can also make 3″ x 3″ books in a similar way, you just have to remember where to cut on the horizontal, or it just doesn’t fol properly. This is the voice of experience, I’ve ended up with some strange looking minibooks before!!!!!

Anyway keep crafting, and most importantly ENJOY!

Hello world!

This is my first blog post. Where to begin!!

I love all types of crafting either to do myself or to look at other peoples craft. I believe that we are all crafters in our own way, wether that is cooking, cleaning, art, sewing, gardening etc. to be able to create something that somebody else enjoys is a gift we all have.

I hope that over the coming months, we will be able to share some great inspirational times, I believe that there are no friendlier and more helpful people than crafters. We all love to encourage and inspire others in our chosen craft.

I love looking at other blogs and gaining inspiration from them, much more fun than my day job! I’m always told that accountants are boring and have no sense of humour, I hope that’s not me!!!

I am demoing at the manic stamper club this Saturday producing an All about ME! box, see themanicstamper.wordpress.com Hope to see you there.

There will also be a book to go inside, ditched the one I was working on last night but will upload a new picture before Saturday. Can’t stop playing with these things until I get to the class, always tinkering and adding things

Keep Crafting!
